Menopause Workshop - 16th January 2024
On Tuesday 16th January colleagues from East Herrington Primary Academy & Hetton Lyons Primary School came together at The Old Rectory (Houghton) to take part in a very informative workshop about Menopause in the workplace.
The workshop was delivered by Menopause Wellness Coach, Arwen Webb from Still Human. We were introduced to the benefits of breaking down the stigma around menopause, opening up discussions and creating a more inclusive working environment.
All staff who attended found the session very helpful within a very honest and open environment, starting the conversations between staff in our schools.
Next steps for our staff are to implement this knowledge and confidence with colleagues within their schools, and as a Trust to implement a Menopause Policy to support the wellbeing of our staff.
